I'm glad the Cubs were able to pull out a win. Went to triple A double header today and the Cubs only pulled out on and the last one they were up by 5 before surrendering a 9 run inning before losing by 15 or more points. Sorry didn't stay for the whole thing.

We need someone to win, and Chicago is the team to do it. Soriano to 2nd would solve a lot, but would it creat more problems as well. Soriano goes to 2B. Cedeno to SS. Reed at center, and Murton maybe gets his chance at LF again! Oh tha would be nice to see Murton in Chicago where he belongs. Oh, and DeRosa just is used every where every day!

Moving Soriano to second would be a terrible idea as he was a below average defender when he was there. However, I am starting to really dislike Theriot this year, i cant exactly explain it but he is frustrating me with his play so far. As a result i would not mind seeing Cedeno out there for a start in the near future so we can see what he has. I dont understand Johnson getting playing time in center because i believe Felix is hitting .250 and playing good defense. Going into the year we expected Felix to hit .260 or .270 but his main value to this team is his defense. I disagree with Lou giving Johnson time because he is just stunning Felix's growth and he should just deal with the growing pains that go with a young player...but i guess with Soriano and Ramirez struggling so much he cant afford to be giving away too many outs.

Cubsrule: on the moving Soriano to 2nd idea...

I can't help but wonder if Soriano would suffer a slump for the move.. It is becoming clear that if he is asked to do anything out of his "norm" he has a nice 0-for streak... (Last year in center, this year batting 2nd.)

I THINK it didnt work (MLB Extra Innings) because of Blackour rules for Saturday games, thanks to Fox, but I might be wrong on that front.

You should do what I do... Watch online via the gamecast (while at work... haha), and when it gets good run to the nearest bar. Seems to work just fine for me, as I got to see the 8th and 9th and got to watch a Cubbie Win.

Nice work matt, for some god forsaken reason my MLB extra innings did not cast the game, oh well. Good to see Cedeno get a chance to play, even if it was only one at-bat. Although I do like the fact that Johnson is playing well, I can't say that it is necassarily good for the Cubs. The better Johnson plays the more time he takes away from Felix, and that is just not a smart move at this point. If Johnson continues to stay hot and Theriot continues to suck, would anybody else object to Soriano moving back to second and Johnson playing Left with DeRosa shifting to short?
