Every New Beginning Comes With Some Other Beginning’s End

March 26th, 2008

Just as the Cubs welcome Reed Johnson into the mix they bid farewell to Alex Cintron by granting his outright release. Cintron looked like he might be making the team, but injuries and otherwise lack-luster play will keep him from joining the 2008 Chicago Cubs.

The final position player roster spots will be going to Cedeno, Ward, Fontenot, Johnson and Blanco.

Thats good new then. I think that Johnson will be a more productive player for us than what Cintron would have been.
